“Be Beautiful”: Preview
CCM Brings Runway to the Church

Calvary Chapel Montebello’s women’s ministry leadership team (Evelyn Blanton, Jennifer Martin, Mary Ponce, and Sylvia Montelongo) alongside Senior Pastor’s wife, Millie Juarez is ready to do the catwalk this Saturday, July 18th at their “Be Beautiful” event. Transforming their church sanctuary into a real life runway inspired by the Dior 2014 Spring/Summer Collection but ultimately inspired by God, the Creator, will feature a full length fashion show with lighting and live music.

In addition to the show, the event will begin with a pre-show lounge decorated with tents and chairs and h`orderves that are visually beautiful, served by the men’s ministry waiters. As a catered event, ladies can enjoy gourmet chicken salad sandwiches, salads, and desserts – an extra special treat. In addition to that, guests will then proceed to the sanctuary to experience stunning visuals all pointing to God’s beauty. The women will be surprised with the “Makeover Takeover” where women will get to participate in the show on the topic of modesty. Then the show begins with a live DJ and four runways in total modeled by ten CCM women of all ages. The audience will then get a picture of what it means to be trendy and honor God.

Following the show will be a message by Juarez on the topic of beauty from God’s perspective that is both inner and radiates outward. Originating as a call to action after a woman approached her asking how to help her daughter in the area of modesty, Juarez is passionate about inspiring others to discover what it means to have fun with fashion and also honor God pointing to him as ultimate Creator.

If that was exciting enough, women also get to hang out at the boutiques where customized lotion as well as hand crafted “Be Beautiful” pendants can be found. These mementos are not only special items to have but also mementos of God’s love and a reminder of the beauty that comes from Him.

With all the fun and frills the event offers, everything ultimately points back to Jesus. Every song, every clothing item, and every message all meant to make you the guest feel special. This is the heart of the leadership where all people from the church pitch in to put on this event that comes around every other year.
