How-To: Use the Same Ingredients Two Ways

Pumpkin or Snickerdoodle Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda, baking powder, salt
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 cup canned pumpkin
white cookie icing (optional)
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix sugar, one egg, shortening, and vanilla.
Step 3
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Note: For Pumpkin Cookies only add canned pumpkin and fold.
Step 4
Spoon dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Step 5
Bake for 12 minutes then cool and write with icing your guests initial on each cookie.
