Our Note to Guys: Godly Qualities

QUESTION: What do you find attractive in a godly man?

 “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

– Micah 6:8 (ESV)

This is our prayer for you.

SURVEY ANSWERS:

“To me, a godly guy is attractive when he acts like a gentleman. I appreciate a man who although he views women as his equals, will open doors for her and not use rough language or tell dirty jokes around her. A man who respects women and shows it through his actions and words is attractive. A godly man is also attractive when he listens thoughtfully and filters his answers through scripture and takes care to keep his walk with God pure.”                              

“Nothing is more attractive than a guy that works hard. It doesn’t matter the task or the difficulty, if he works hard at whatever he puts his hands to, odds are that he’ll work hard for his family and his relationship with God. HUGE ATTRACTION RIGHT THERE!” 

“I find that a guy who puts the Lord first in his life and is going to treat his family, friends, and me with respect and love super attractive!”                                                              

“What I find attractive in a godly man? I would say the ‘light’ of God that shines through them, the joy, peace, confidence, gentleness, strength they have. The willingness to pray at anytime, the manners and respect they have for themselves and those around them. That’s just the tip of the iceberg…each one reflecting God’s image gives us as women [I believe] a joy, encouragement, security and confidence in ourselves and our walk with God.”  

“I am blessed to be engaged to a very godly man named David! We met on a missions trip in Haiti and seeing his passion for and dedication to serving the children at Fond Blanc Orphanage and the other members of our team was what first thing drew my heart towards him. He worked 110% throughout the entire week at everything he was doing and he always tried to put others first. In short, I believe it was his heart for service that first attracted me to him.”

Passion for Christ is also attractive and when I am able to partner with a person like this because life is an exciting adventure and we can accomplish great things for God together. Also, a man who can give me grace is a man I find attractive because he mirrors Jesus when he does.”

“I think what’s really attractive about a godly guy is their intimate relationship with Jesus. Their passion to serve the Lord and impact others for Gods kingdom is attractive as well as the way they have a love for Christ that shines through, and a contagious personality that makes people want to follow because of their example in Christ. In essence, a guy whose got Jesus on his mind is attractive.”

“I find it attractive that godly guys aren’t ashamed to have a soft heart and worship the Lord without being worried what others think.”
