Madeline Carroll: Guest Writer

Actress Madeline Carroll, currently stars in faith-based film I Can Only Imagine, alongside Dennis Quaid. Carroll plays the love interest in the film, which follows the story of MercyMe lead singer Bart Millard who wrote the ultimate uplifting song, “I Can Only Imagine” in minutes, but realizes it took his lifetime to write. Millard found faith at a young age and used music to escape his troubled home life. The film is Roadside Attractions highest-grossing film ever, with a $71 million box office haul to date.

In 2008, a 12-year old Carroll made her big break starring opposite Kevin Costner in the feature film Swing Vote. She received praise from audiences all over the world thanks to her heartbreaking and charming performance.

Carroll’s other film credits include Machine Gun Preacher, The Magic of Belle Isle opposite Morgan Freeman and directed by Rob Reiner, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Cafe, The Spy Next  Door, Santa Claus 3, When a Stranger Calls, and Resident Evil: Extinction.

Television credits include: “Cold Case,” “Greys Anatomy,” “Private Practice,” “Navy: NCIS” and “Lie To Me.” Madeline has also appeared in many national commercials.

Carroll was raised in Los Angeles, California. She began modeling when she was three years old, and soon after she was discovered by theatrical agent, Wendy Green in a nail shop in Sherman Oaks, CA. She began her acting career shortly after.She is active in giving to the foundation Zoe International, a non-profit Christian organization that rescues children from child prostitution. She also volunteers at The Dream Center and partners with her family in feeding the homeless every Tuesday night.
