Our Note to Guys: Gratefulness

By Sarah and Selma Komisky

QUESTION: What are you grateful for when it comes to the guy in your life?

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

– Micah 6:8 (ESV)

This is our prayer for you.

“To all the guys who we don’t tell you enough or do take you for granted at times. We are sorry because we are grateful to God for bringing you into our lives, for the person He made you , and for who you are In Him. Thank you…from the little things to the never ending things you do for me. Thank you for loving and serving Jesus because in that it flows out ,and you love and serve others.”

“I’m thankful for his wonderful sense of humor. He always knows how to make me laugh!”

“Well, right now the guy in my life is my dad! So I’m super grateful for how he takes care of me, that he always makes me laugh AND has taught me how to have a strong walk with God.”

“I’m also grateful for how he has prepared me for my future relationship, from getting the door for me, to having long chats about values, boundaries and feelings. He’s shown me that I’m valued.”

“How they treat girls\women with the respect they deserve.”

“What I am most grateful for in regards to the guy in my life is that he knows God, shows that he appreciates me through words and actions, and he is super competent with stuff I’m not (i.e. cars, plumbing, electric work, technology, etc.)!”

“I would say I feel protected and secure with my dad and brothers and am grateful.”

“I’m grateful for how honoring and servant-hearted the guys are in my life! They treat everyone, not just the women in our community, with such respect and value, they encourage with intentionality and they’re always willing to step up and help meet a need.”

“I’m thankful for my dad and his God given talent and creativity as an artist. He brings lots of great ideas to our house and for our family to enjoy! Also, he’s always been a provider, which I am grateful.”

“I’m grateful when the men in my life listen to my thoughts, ideas, and convictions. I feel greatly cherished when my mind and intellect are valued on an equal level to the male counterparts within my family and friend circles.”

“I am grateful for my husband for who he is, for his love, godly example, and being a good husband and dad.”
