How-To: New Year’s Gummy Bear Mocktails

By Tori Martin

I don’t know about your kids, but my kids absolutely love to feel “all grown up!” That’s why this year, I have decided to get them more involved with our family New Year celebrations by making these cute, funky, and age-appropriate Gummy Bear Mocktails! Your kids will have great fun making these with you and even more fun toasting in the New Year with their super cool drink! Here’s how you do it:

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 4 Plastic clear cups or flutes
  • 4 Fun paper straws
  • 1 500ml Bottle of sparkling apple or lemonade
  • 5oz Gummy bears
  • 2 oz Granulated sugar
  • 2 Shallow dishes

Recipe:

Step 1. Coat each plastic cup or flute’s rim with sugar. In one shallow dish, add a small amount of water. In the other dish, add your granulated sugar. One at a time, carefully dip the rim of each cup into the dish with water followed by a dip into the dish of granulated sugar.

Step 2. Next, drop a small handful of gummy bears at the bottom of each cup. If your kids are very young, then consider only using half a small handful of gummy bears.

Step 3. Pour your sparkling apple or lemonade into each cup or flute. Complete by adding a fun paper straw. Serve and enjoy!
