I grew up and currently reside in southern California, where I met and married my husband of 29 years. My husband, son, and I became born-again Christians in the summer of 1994. Four years later, my husband attended Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa School of Ministry, and upon his graduation we answered God’s call to go to the east coast where he pastored a Calvary Chapel in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for 12 years. I had the privilege of serving alongside him as the worship leader and director of children’s ministry, along with teaching and overseeing the women’s ministry. With the church on solid ground and continuing to bless the community today, we were called back to California in 2012. Today, my husband now serves with an international ministry, impacting millions of lives in over 40 countries worldwide. He also teaches at Calvary Chapel Bible College and speaks as a guest pastor at churches. I continue to lead worship, and often join my husband in leading worship when he preaches. I also have the honor of serving as a leader in the CCCM Joyful Life Women’s Ministry.

While in Pennsylvania, I received an invitation to contribute to a devotional book in the process of being written by Calvary Chapel pastor’s wives. I was terrified at the prospect and I shrunk back from the opportunity. A second invitation was sent, and again I shrunk back. When the devotional came out, I was greatly saddened I did not rise to the opportunity the Lord gave me. Over the years I have thought back to the choice I made and have regretted it every time. I felt I let the Lord down and it grieved my heart. I prayed and promised the Lord: if he ever gave me another chance to contribute, I would not shrink back. Receiving this invitation from Marked Ministry many years after that, I had to respond with a thankful heart! I look forward to listening to God’s voice and writing what he inspires me to share with you.
