Styling Your Sunglasses
By Samantha De La O
If you plan on being outdoors at all this July, sunglasses are an absolute must. Fortunately, they are not in short supply. From the bold white framed 60’s style glasses that are trending currently, to your favorite pair of classic Ray-Ban’s, cute sunglasses are all the rage right now, and they can make or break any outfit. In the images below, we have taken and styled five of the most popular sunglass styles this season, some of which you may have lying around your house already! Prepare to be totally inspired.
LOOK #1: Classic Black
Chances are, at one point or another, you bought a pair of plain, black sunglasses, and now their either your favorite pair, or, lying around your house somewhere, neglected. It’s time to bring them back to the forefront of your wardrobe. Black glasses are a classic staple, and they are way too fun to style. Wear them with bold colors, like the yellow above, and fun patterns, like these striped pants.
LOOK #2: White Goggles
If you have delved into the fashion corner of the internet lately, you’ve probably noticed that these all white, goggle like sunglasses are making their way into dozens of fashion bloggers closet’s, and for good reason. These glasses give the simplest outfit a retro quality, and they look absolutely stunning with red (as pictured).
LOOK #3: The Ray-Ban
Ray-Bans have been around since 1937, yet somehow they have never ceased to be a fashionable accessory. They’re versatile enough to be styled with just about anything, but the outfit above gives you a little idea, if you need it.
LOOK #4: Blushed Aviators
Aviators can be found just about anywhere, and they are great, because they can shift between girly and edgy depending on their lense color and how you style them. The blushed tone to these lenses makes them extremely feminine, and the perfect touch to an already blushed outfit.
LOOK #5: Tortoise Shell
Similar to the aviators, tortoise shell glasses can be found just about anywhere, and they come in a variety of shapes and styles. Style them with white/tan fabrics and tan/brown accessories, as pictured.
Hopefully at least one of these five pairs is close to something you have at home, but if not, their just a click away. Similar pairs can be found at Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, and H&M or Tilly’s, all for less than 2$0 (other than the Ray-ban’s).
