Our Note to Guys: Quality Time

By Sarah and Selma Komisky

QUESTION: How would you like a guy to spend quality time with you?

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

– Micah 6:8 (ESV)

This is our prayer for you.

SURVEY ANSWERS:

“I enjoy doing activates that are festive this time of year. Walking around towns that have Christmas lights is my favorite! Having their company is the most important thins to me. Seeing twinkling lights is the cherry on top.”

“Quality time during the holidays to me would be shopping for a tree together, maybe decorating it. Going up to the snow in the mountains for the day, and depending on how far we are in the relationship, taking time to get to know each other’s families, or even each other, on a deeper level.”

“A quiet evening at home looking at old photographs, reminiscing about shared memories and talking about our plans for the future.”

“I would love to meet for lunch outdoors at a park, go for a walk, and end up at a coffee shop reading the Bible and talking about how God is at work in our lives!”

“Spending an evening at Disneyland, drinking hot chocolate.”

“I’d love to do something seasonal like go ice-skating or walk through a really lit up and decorated neighborhood.”

“Doing festive things! Holiday lights, boat show, Christmas tree lighting events, seeing a Christmas music show with dinner included.”

“I would want to walk around neighborhoods and look at Christmas lights then afterward, we’d drink hot chocolate and sing Christmas carols. And of course, watch a holiday movie.”

“I’d want to do something festive, like get a holiday coffee, go ice skating, look at Christmas lights!”

“I think my ideal day of quality time would seriously resemble something out of the movie Elf (lol). I’m pretty low-key, so I enjoy simple things with good conversation. So, I would say, going to church, hanging out with the family, watching one of those Christmas concert specials and eating s’mores, cooking or baking together, and, if we had time, watching Elf would be great!”

“I am traditional and love everything about Christmas. With that said I would want a guy to help me decorate the tree, to go together serving the community (like feeding the homeless or toys for less fortunate kids), watching Christmas classic movies together, going to see Christmas lights, caroling, making new traditions, and going to church together of course.”
