Resurrection Scriptures for April

By Sharon Kaselonis

Today’s Bible Reading: Mark 15:42- 16:8; Matthew 27:57- 28:10; Luke 23:50- 24:12; John 19:38- 20:18

Jesus said: “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” John 11:25

Today’s news is good news. Regardless of current affairs or life situations, there is a throne set in Heaven and our God reigns eternal. Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, we stand redeemed, forgiven, and justified. No longer are we bound to the bad news of this world, but Jesus has risen and is coming again to take us home.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Each of us has a story with a beginning and end.  We didn’t have a choice about how it began, but we certainly can choose Jesus and know exactly where we’ll end up.

Jesus said: “He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (Jn 5:24)

Choose life today. Choose Jesus and His ways––they lead to joy and eternal life.
