I’m sure we have all at some time or another faced opposition. Like when you’re at work and then, all of a sudden, your tooth filling falls out, or you’re minding your own business and your family blames you for something you didn’t do. Or perhaps your kid gets chicken pox and a week later you catch them as well, or you go to the parking lot and your car is not there because it has been stolen. Those are just a few examples – you get it.

Have you ever read in the book of Ephesians in chapter 6 how God instructs us to fight against Satan? Yes, the Bible says Satan is a real spirit being. It says in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 that he used to be a beautiful creature in heaven. But he rebelled and was kicked out. So, don’t be naive; he does exist.

In 1 Peter 5:8-9 it states, “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers experience the same sufferings all over the world.”

Trench warfare is defined by Wikipedia as “a type of land warfare using occupied fighting lines consisting largely of military trenches, in which troops are well-protected from the enemy’s small arms fire and are substantially sheltered from artillery.” The trenches in wartime were a symbol of warfare but a place of protection from the enemy. In turn, we go through hard times in life yet we can be in the trenches because our commander Jesus Christ assures us He is with us to get us through!

Here at Marked Ministry, we want to recognize that we are in the trenches BUT there is hope. So, be encouraged by some of these inspiring articles. Check ‘em out!
