By Sarah Komisky

Sarah: Favorite thing about summer

Austin: My favorite thing about summer is, it’s not cold [laughs]

Sarah: I heard that one of the first CDs you had were boy bands, so I want to know, N Sync or Backstreet Boys if you had to choose? [laughs]

Austin: Oh, there’s is no contest, Backstreet Boys, the Millennium album. That’s a great album!

Sarah: You played saxophone, so if you could play any song on the sax, what would it be?

Austin: Ooooh it would be, “Watermelon Man” by Herbie Hancock.

Sarah: What is your spiritual life verse?

Austin: John 10:10 – “The thief does not come except to steal, kill, and destroy. But I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Sarah: Food that is your go-to?

Austin: As of now I’m vegan but if I had a go-to food of whatever I wanted; it would be hands down southern food.

Sarah: Favorite baseball team of all time?

Austin: That’s a hard one. Colorado, Rockies just because I’ve seen them play probably a hundred times.

Sarah: Person you wish you could collaborate with?

Austin: Hmmm…Whitney Houston. And living, Chaka Khan.

Sarah: What artist’s album would others be surprised you like?

Austin: Sade. She’s great. Or the Fugees record, The Score.

Sarah: Ice cream or frozen yogurt?

Austin: Dole Whip is my favorite.

Sarah: If you were a superhero, who would you be and why?

Austin: Oh! Superman, that’s easy! Because you can’t kill him, no one has kryptonite on Earth, and no one would be able to know who I am. And if I can’t be Superman, I would be Wolverine.
