Christians And Bullies
Q&A: Sarah and Lilly
Sarah: What does it mean to be a bully?
Lilly: I think a bully is someone who wants revenge and treats others meanly.
Sarah: What happens when we met a Christian who is a bully?
Lilly: I had a “friend” who bullied me, so I tried acting like her so she would like me––but she still bullied me, so I told on her and told my mom. Things got a little better, but she still bullied me, so I told on her again and told my mom again. She finally stopped bulling me!
Sarah: How did it make you feel?
Lilly: It made me feel sad and I wanted to tell her to stop. Thankfully, she did. I think Jesus wants us to respect and be kind to one another.
Sarah: What would you like to tell others who are being bullied by someone who says they are a Christian?
Lilly: If you are bullied, tell them to stop, and if they don’t, tell on them, and don’t be afraid.
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
– Deuteronomy 31 6
