6 Spring Don’t-Miss Tours

By Delaney Mowers

Springtime brings rain, flowers, spring cleaning, and also a lot of spring concert tours that are not to be missed. Spanning all genres of music, here is the break down on some Christian concert tours happening this spring.

The Oh Hello’s Tour

The Oh Hello’s began in a bedroom as two siblings, Maggie and Tyler Heath, formed the band in 2012. The band has created a sound that is a unique mix of folk music and rock music, giving them an indie feel that speaks to the deeper themes and emotions present in their music. With four albums released, their newest album, Dear Wormwood, was partially inspired by C.S Lewis’s book The Screwtape Letters and partially inspired by Patrick Rothfuss’s book The Name of the Wind. The song Dear Wormwood tells the story of what transpires within characters in C.S Lewis’ book. The stories that are present in the Oh Hello’s music makes this a tour not to be missed. Catch them in one of 35 venues in the US from February 21 through July 19 with Lowland Hum, Wildermiss, and LeTrainiump (to name a few).

TobyMac Deep Hits Tour

With 15 albums released over the last 17 years, TobyMac is one band that is not to be missed. Hip-hop in genre, TobyMac is known for telling hard hitting and realistic stories within their songs that speak of the struggles of living this life and of being a Christian in a fallen world. Featuring both new songs and some of TobyMac’s greatest hits, this high energy concert will showcase the best of TobyMac. Also featuring artists Danny Gokey, Mandisa, Ryan Stevenson, and Finding Favor, TobyMac Deep Hits Tour is coming to 31 venues in the US now through August 18.

Casting Crowns The Very Next Thing Tour

With 15 albums recorded, including 2016’s The Very Next Thing, Casting Crowns is a music tour that has so much in store. With shades of Christian Rock, this primarily contemporary Christian music band focuses heavily on the lyrics of those songs. Speaking to Christians on a spiritual level, this concert tour will surely ignite something in each listener. Also featuring Christian rock band I Am They, the tour is coming to 30 venues now through May 5.

Outcry Tour

Coming to 13 different cities April 7 through April 26, this late spring concert is one to look forward too. Featuring Elevation Worship, Bethel Music, Mosaic MSC, and Vertical Worship, these contemporary worship music groups combine for an awesome night of worship. Touring for the fifth year in a row, this year’s theme will focus on the power of the church and what it means to be Christ’s hands and feet. Also featuring speaker Christine Caine, this tour aims to be a movement of worshipers. Being part of this movement will result in a powerful experience.

MercyMe with Tenth Avenue North LIVE Tour

Indie rock band MercyMe will tour with pop rock band Tenth Avenue North to 28 venues February 16 through April 5. MercyMe has received many Grammy Award nominations and has won 8 Dove Awards, including an award for their hugely popular song “I Can Only Imagine.” MercyMe and Tenth North Avenue are both known for their strong storytelling and vulnerability within their songs, making this tour one that will have something for everyone.

The Road Show Tour

The Road Show Tour is perhaps one of the most exciting tours happening this spring. Featuring For King and Country, Mathew West, Natalie Grant, Bethel Music, Zach Williams, and Social Club Misfits, these primarily contemporary Christian music and Christian rock bands will come together for a night of praise and worship. Seeking to create a space of community, this tour is heading to 23 locations February 16 through March 25. Additionally, tickets are sold at the door for only 10 dollars!

Hop online and see if these tours are coming to a city near you! Psalms 95:1 says in the New International Version, “Come, let us sing for joy of the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” These tours are great enactment of doing just that.
